Dronfield is a small town on the edge of the Peak District in North Derbyshire, England. The group is based at Dronfield Baptist Church and has been in existence for over 42 years, having been formed in March 1968. The group is a member of the Scout Association. The group has four sections; Beavers Scouts (6-8 years old), Cub Scouts (8-10 years old), Scouts (10 -14 years old) and Explorer Scouts (14-18 years old). What do we do?  Explorer Scouts run the unit through the elected executive committee. We organise our own programme; in the past our activities have included karting, ice skating and helping to organise the district Night Owl competition.  When?  Explorer Scouts usually meet on a Friday Evening.Interested? What do we do?  Scouts do a range of activities inside and of out of doors. We have regular camps and take part in other outdoor activities around our local area. All Scouts work towards a whole series of different badges.  When?  Scouts meet on a Friday Evening  Patrols  The troop is split into four patrols Kestrels, Eagles, Falcons and Hawks whose patrol badges are shown below.    Interested? What do we do?  On pack nights we play games and do some craft activities. We also do outdoor activities such as tracking and camping. We also work towards some of the many Cub Scout Activity badges and towards gaining the Cub Scout Award, the Adventure award, the Adventure Crest Award and the Cub Scout Challenge (see below). We have a football team which participates in the Dronfield District Cub Scout League and Cup.    When?  Cub Scouts meet on a Monday Evening  Interested? What do we do?  The Beaver Scout motto is fun and friends. We enjoy playing games and doing crafts. Beavers Scouts work towards three badges, the first Beaver Scout badge, the second Beaver Scout Badge and the Beaver Scout Challenge.    When?  Beaver Scouts meet on a Monday Evening.  Interested?
